Calendula
Commonly known as Marigolds, the Calendula officionalis flowers are instantly recognisable for their bright orange/yellow flowers. We use calendula infused oil in several of our products, as it is renowned for it’s many beneficial properties.
Dry Skin – Calendula has super moisturising properties, which make it a great ingredient for moisturisers.
Ageing Skin – Calendula was used by the ancient Egyptians for it’s skin brightening & rejuvenating properties. We love it because it contains anti-oxidants helpful for nourishing the skin.
Healing – Calendula is reputed to have anti-inflammatory and anti bacterial properties, which make it an effective ingredient for calming and promoting healing of the skin. The symptoms of Eczema, psoriasis, nappy rash and other minor unexplained rashes are often relieved by skin preparations containing calendula
Sunburn, insect bites & acne – The calming & soothing properties of calendula make it a great natural remedy for all sorts of skin irritations
